Meet the Interns!

Presenting the 2026 DPF Peace Interns

Hannah Wells (she/her)

Hannah is a graduate of Chapman University with BA in Peace Studies, who is originally from Long Beach, California. During her time as a leader at Disciples on Campus, Hannah discerned a call to ministry and will be applying to seminary in the fall. Hannah is currently working as a nanny for a one-year-old boy, and serves on the Worship Team at First Christian Church Fullerton, California. In previous summers Hannah served as a 2024 Intern with Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice (CLUE-Justice) and as a part of the 2025 Green Chalice Justice and Creation Summer Fellowship. Fun Fact: Hannah has six cats, having grown up in a family that fostered a lot of little kitties and then inevitably kept a few!

Devereaux Knight (he/him)

Devereaux studies Religion and Politic Science at Texas Christian University. An MDiv. is his goal after college and he is discerning between ministry and academia. Born and raised in Overland Park, Kansas (just a little bit outside of Kansas City), Devereaux was an active member of the Regional Youth Ministry Council in the Greater Kansas Region during High School. Tall Oaks Camp and Conference Center is his home church camp. In his application he noted that he wants to talk about immigration this summer with a particular focus on Exodus 22:21 that tells us that “we should strive to treat immigrants in our country with grace and hospitality.” Fun Fact(s): Devereaux’s birthday is 1234 (December 3, 2004)!

YoungJae Lee (she/they)

YoungJae is from South Korea and is currently studying theology at McGill University and the Montreal Diocesan Theological College in Montreal, Canada. They serve on staff at St. Martha’s Chapel, a jointly affiliated church that is part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), United Church of Canada, and the Anglican Church of Canada. As the Student Coordinator at St. Martha’s they develop programs and work alongside Student Christian Ministries. Through their experiences in South Korean churches, they discerned a call to work with Christian communities and make them safe environments to welcome anybody. Fun Fact(s): YoungJae loves swimming, having tea time, petting dogs and exploring nature.
